inigo kennedy - the bigger picture lp (missile - missilelp03) im certain that most of us tech-heads own atleast one record by inigo kennedy, one of the most productive producers the last couple of years. with his distinct own sound his music has rocked dancefloors all over the world. lately inigo has progressed from the minimal banging techno to more and more intelligent but still driving music. "the bigger picture" is an perfect example of this progression. the whole album consists of eleven tracks, from deep suggestive techno through oldschool detroit-ish to very driving minimal tracks and this without loosing the red line. it starts out with "departure" which is just brilliant! broken beats, cutting sounds and beautiful strings. third on the album is "rude interruption" and just as the title says its a rude interruption. it hammers it's way through the beautiful tracks before it with its banging rhythm and sounds that reminds me of sounds in a submarine. the last track, "edge" is my personal favourite. it got a tribal rhythm and over that a very abstract stringpiece which is just so beautiful! i could go on ranting this record but i won't, you should give it a listen yourself! inigo is one of the few people able to see the bigger picture! |

i 've seen u @ kozzmozz, belgium, definitely like your style despite of the bad soundsystem there! i did know you from the space djz rmx's and also like your record called "untitled" :p found it on the internet. i like the elevating velocity of drums, this is what techno should be! |
